Anatoly Purlik was born on September 12th 1956 in Taishet, Russia.
From 1972 to 1976 he studied at the Pedagogical College, the Fine Arts Department, where he showed his works for the first time in personal exhibitions.
In 1984 he graduated from the Leningrad Hertsen State Pedagogical University (now St. Petersburg), the Graphic Art Faculty.
Since 1976 he works as a decorator-artist of interior design and advertising, also he teaches at an art school.
From 1982 he started exhibiting his works as a painter.
He became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists in 1994 and a member of the Union of Russian Artists in 1995. He currently lives and works in Moscow.
Since 1988 Anatoly participates in many group and personal exhibitions in Russia and abroad. He has worked with “Les Oreades” Gallery since 1997.
His early exhibitions took place in Moscow (1978, 1991, 2001, 2002), St. Petersburg (1982, 1983), Taishet (1986), Pforzheim-Germany (1995), Stuttgart (Germany - 1995, 1998,1999), Irkutsk (Russia - 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002), Berlin (Germany - 1997), Seoul (South Korea - 1997), Freiburg im Breisgau, Bad Herrenalb, Auerbach (Germany - 1997, 1999, 2000).
